Our fall session is here! We have chosen the dogs that will be in the class. They have been with our wonderful veterinarian, Dr. Shaw the last two weeks. He and his staff do such a great job and take amazing care of our dogs. They’ve all had their full medical exams, finished up their last vaccinations and any other needs, and are ready to start class.
Our first adoption event is this weekend, Sunday the 13th, and classes start Monday. See our Events page for more upcoming adoption events. Applications are now being accepted on the dogs for review by our adoption committee.
Thank you to our supporters and volunteers helping this fall – Young-Williams Animal Center, Ideal Veterinary Hospital, Catatoga Kennels, Mountain Mutt Media, and the local businesses that help by hosting adoption events for us.
Special thanks to the Abby Gibson Memorial Foundation for again providing the Cool Class Sponsorship for both the fall 2015 and spring 2016 sessions. Their generous donation will help us provide snacks and drinks for all of the kids during their four weeks of class, plus t-shirts, certificates and goodies for graduations. Proceeds rasied during the 2015 Walk and Wag event have allowed them to make this generous donation to support our kids in the program.
We also wish to thank Julie G and her Fall Festival crew for sponsoring Merry through this class. Julie sponsored Winnie in the spring class in memory of her long-time, four-legged friend, Char that she lost earlier in the year. To follow that, she and her friends did a fundraiser this fall and pooled their money together to help another dog in this class. Their generous donation will provide all the vet care, boarding, food and training supplies for Merry through the class.
